Metal free porcelain crowns (Mpress-porcelain)

As opposed to the conventional metal porcelain crowns the porcelain crowns do not have a basis made out of metal, they totally consist of porcelain. The tooth is enclosed by a pure porcelain layer that of course does not have a dark margin at the gingvival edge. With these crowns an extraordinary high level of aesthetic standard can be attained. Its transparency is similar to this of the normal teeth, like this a perfect smile can be achieved. But since these metal free option is less stable than the conventional metal porcelain crown, they can only be used for crowns in the incisor region. There can also only be produced bridges with very short links, for they would be too fragile for the area of the molars. M-Press porcelain is produced by Vison Lew or Ivoclast and is also used for the production of Veneers.

These crowns are produced without any framework, they consist of layers out of pure porcelain, thus a bridge with miximal 3 links is possible. Whereas the transparency and the colour scheme is outstanding, and according to that these crowns are perfect for single crowns in the incisor region or veneers in case of high aesthetic pretensions.

Advantages:
