Intraoral X-ray

It is often necessary to take small (intraoral) x-ray images. The patient is protected by a lead equivalent rubber apron, and, following the settings, the exposure is controlled from outside. The x-ray photograph is taken, developed and stored with the conventional film-based technology. These intraoral x-ray images are rich in detail and highly informative. The latest technology is digital x-ray, where the amount of radiation is reduced, the information is fed directly into the computer system, and the enlarged image of the x-rayed tooth is shown on a display. Further enlargement of certain details is also possible.
Its use is often necessary in root canal therapy and is great help in endodontics.

A needle control is necessary and the control of root fillings in particular is of crucial importance.
