Consultations
Consultations and Price offers are free at Profident dental clinic if you immediately continue the treatment. Otherwise you will have to pay for the consultation and x-rays taken. The consultation charge will be deducted from your treatment, if you want to start the treatment at a later stage. The price of the Initial Assessment depends on our valid price list.
During your consultation a panoramic x-ray (OPG) or a 3D tomography may be required to assess the state of your teeth and mouth. If you have a recent x-ray, we can use that. Alternatively we can take an x-ray or a 3 D tomography at an extra charge.
If for any reason you do not present yourself on time and in a state that the consultation can be performed, your appointment will be cancelled, and we will charge you for your consultation. In certain cases we may need to move your appointment. In these cases we will notify you as soon as the need for rescheduling arises, and offer you alternative times.
Treatment Options
It is our aim that you receive adequate information on the treatment options available to you, together with their consequences, costs and possible risks. You should be able to discuss with your dentist the options available in order to select a course of treatment that is medically sound, aesthetically pleasing and financially affordable to you.
Please make sure you understand the implications of your treatment and the alternatives before agreeing to any treatment. By the mean of allowing the dentist to start the treatment you show your agreement to it. You can also ask for presenting a detailed treatment plan, where all the costs are mentioned.
Course of Treatment
In some cases it may only become apparent after the commencement of your treatment at Profident that the course of treatment has to be modified. Sometimes this happens as old crowns are being removed and loose teeth pulled. At other times it may happen at the very onset when specialists are consulted. The implications of such findings will be explained, and a modified treatment plan will be agreed. This means, that initial treatment plans can be changed at any time of the treatment if this is medically necessary. During this process you may at any time decide not to continue with the treatment. In this instance you will only have to pay for treatment and laboratory work which has been provided.
Profident has the absolute right to discontinue treatment at any time without any obligation for compensation if you are not medically or mentally fit for the recommended treatment or if your payment obligations are not met. Patients, who will get dental work manufactured by our dental lab, are asked to pay 50% of the final price at the first teeth preparation or assessment. After completing the work, patients are obliged to pay the final 50% at the appointment, when they receive their dental work. Where no lab work is needed, patients have to pay for the received treatment every visit. If you cannot meet your payment obligations at any reason, you will be asked to fill in a dept declaration form and you can pay it within 14 days, before legal steps are taken.
In some cases we may need to make changes to your appointment time or the treating specialist. In this event we will contact you to advise you of those changes at the first available opportunity.
Profident may at any time without notifying you make any changes to the Services which are necessary to comply with any applicable safety or other statutory requirements, or which do not materially affect the nature or quality of the Services.
Personal belongings
Profident is not liable for your personal belongings. Please, keep an eye on them. You can take your coat or jacket into the treatment room, where hangers are provided. If you bring luggage or bags with you, please hand them to our receptionists, who will take care of them, but do not leave any valuables in them.
Travel
In the case that you travel to Profident from abroad, accommodation, meals and other ancillary expenses of treatment abroad will in all cases be borne by you, regardless of whether those expenses are incurred in respect of a consultation, treatment, checkups, guarantee or any other reason.
Always allow plenty of time for flights as we may not be able to reschedule your appointments. If you do not allow sufficient time for your stay abroad and laboratory work is delayed, you may need to make an additional trip.
Payment
With signing the Anamnesis questioner you agree to the terms and conditions of Profident. You are obliged to tell your correct personal data (as name, address, birth date, etc.) to Profident workers and Profident is intituled to see your personal ID for confirmation. We are going to deal with this date carefully and we will respect your patient rights.
Prices of the treatments are calculated due to our actual price list. You are obliged to pay the treatment received in Cash or by credit card. We do not accept bank transfers or checks. We do have contracts with some insurance companies, please check our website. Please, inform the receptionist if you are a client off one of our partners. You might have already a treatment plan or you are entitled to get discount from our treatment prices. If you would like to pay in foreign currency, we accept GBP and Euros to our actual exchange rates.
Profident staff may assist you with your free airport transfers and will try to help with accommodation contacts, if you are going to get dental treatment at Profident and you fixed an appointment in advance via e-mail. Under no circumstances whatsoever will Profident be liable for any losses howsoever arising from the performance or non performance of any service provider/operator.
Cancellation of Dental Treatment
Cancellations for scheduled dental treatment are only accepted no later than 72 hours (3 working days) in advance in writing or phone call.
In the case of cancellation for a patient’s first visit, there is no cancellation fee. However, due to the restrictive nature of the timing of treatments, a cancellation penalty will be charged for the cancellation of a subsequent visit.
Customers are responsible for any cancellation fees imposed by other travel suppliers, such as airline or hotel cancellation fees or charges. Please note that for some hotels or apartments once your reservation is confirmed, your reservation may be wholly non-refundable.
Complaints
Should you have any complaints with the dental work performed, we suggest that you immediately approach your dentist at Profident. If you have complaints with any other aspect of your customer experience, or if your dentist is not available, please contact directly Profident office 0036-1-3422546 or dental-office@profident.com. Failure to bring your complaint to the attention of Profident at the earliest opportunity will be considered proof that the services were satisfactorily provided.
If your dental problem can not be satisfactorily resolved over the telephone, you may need to see your dentist or a specialist at Profident. If your personal dentist at Profident is not available we are offering full time dental help from Mon-Sat 8:00-21:00.
If it is determined that your work falls under guarantee, it will be treated according to the conditions described in the Guarantee section.
Guarantees
Our clinic provides a minimum 2 year guarantee on all dental technical treatments and restoration work, such as crowns, bridges and dentures. We offer 1 year guarantee on fillings and small restorative work and up to 10 years for implants. We guarantee for the work, we provide, but not for the patients health condition of the teeth themselves. (e.g. our guarantee terms cover the failure of a crown, but do not cover, if a patient looses a crown, because of an extraction of a tooth or we guarantee for the implant itself but not if it is lost due inflammation of the surrounding tissue) If you have any problems that you believe are covered by guarantee, please contact our customer service staff to arrange a visit at our clinic.
Extent of guarantee
In case of a failure of the laboratory works our clinic cover all necessary dental and laboratory costs to rectify the problem. Our clinic is going to cover all dental costs in case of guarantee case. In the unlikely case that you require guarantee work, we will carry out the remedial work at the clinic in Budapest; unfortunately, we can not cover costs of other dentists or travelling expenses. In case of a patient, who has major restorative treatment carried out (in excess of six units of crowns of bridgework) it is advantageous to arrange a further appointment at the clinic a month or so after fitting to allow the dentist to check the bite. When the restorations are first fitted the patient may have a slightly different biting action. This may be due to the fact that the patient now has teeth where they didn’t have them before or some teeth have intentionally been made larger for cosmetic reasons. All this takes time to settle and for the patient to be come accustomed to their restorations.
Profident is not liable for any unforeseen root canal treatment after having tooth/teeth prepared for crown & bridgework. Occasionally, teeth suffer preparation trauma during crown & bridgework treatment resulting in a need for a root canal treatment afterwards.
Profident can not accept guarantee claims for temporary solutions. Readjustments of dentures are neither a guarantee case.
Guarantee will be (reduced or) invalidated
• If the patient fails to visit the dentist for a routine supervision at least once a year.
• If patient neglects oral hygiene.
• If the dentists’ instructions are not followed (e.g. the patient does not wear the total prosthesis during the night).
• If the patient undergoes treatment on the dental or laboratory work provided by the dentist of Profident at another clinic.
• If removable restoration such as partial dentures or full dentures are not kept and maintained properly.
• If the gum tissue or teeth bone is naturally reducing.
• If the patient is a smoker.
• If the patient loses or gains a substantial amount of weight during a short
Disclosure
In order to perform our services to patients, who come from abroad, they will be required to disclose certain personal information, including your personal data, (travel plans and health records (“the Information”) to Profident or any agent appointed by it to receive such information). No liability will arise in respect of any losses suffered by you where the Information disclosed is found to have been incorrect or incomplete. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that the Information provided is accurate and to immediately notify Profident, or any agent appointed by it to receive such information, of any changes to it.
Confidentiality
Profident acknowledges that it will in the course of the provision of the Services be provided with or have access to information which is confidential to you (‘Confidential Information’). Profident shall not at any time make use of or divulge or permit any person to make use of or divulge any Confidential Information otherwise than in the proper performance of the Services or save as required by Law.
Data Protection
Profident will always respect your privacy and any personal communication between yourself and itself or any associated company. The information that Profident collects from you is only that required by Profident or any associated company to provide you with the information, products or services requested. Profident does not trade, rent or sell client details to third parties. Should Profident’s intentions change it will be done only with your authorisation. Profident will always comply with any data protection legislation currently in force.
Except where expressly permitted by Hungarian data protection legislation, Profident will only deal with the personal details provided by you in respect of the provision of the Services, unless you agree otherwise. This will include sending you information about Profident services generally and to inform you about promotions, offers or information provided by Profident or any associated companies which may be of interest to you and Profident may share your personal details with those companies for this purpose.
Profident may transfer your personal details to a third party as part of a sale of some or all of its business and assets to any third party or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation but Profident will take reasonable steps with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights are protected.
Other than as set out above, Profident will not disclose any of your personal details without your permission unless Profident is required by law to do so (for example, if required to do so by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime).
You are always in control of your personal details. You can tell Profident in writing not to transfer your personal details as set out above by writing to Profident customer care at the above address.
Liability
In addition to any liability expressly or by implication excluded under these Trading Terms, Profident shall not be liable for consequential losses and its liability shall not in any case exceed a total amount equivalent to the amount payable by the patient for the treatment he/she received.
Other
These Trading Terms and the associated Treatment Plan constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede any previous agreement or understanding. You expressly confirm that you have not entered into this contract on the basis of any representation that is not expressly incorporated into this contract.
No failure or delay by either party in exercising any of its rights under the contract shall be deemed to be a waiver of that right and no waiver by either party of any breach of contract by the other shall be considered as a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.
Profident is entitled to any modifications to the Treatment Plan or Trading Terms.
If any provision of these Trading Terms is held to be unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these Trading Terms and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.
Profident reserves the right to update or change these Trading Terms from time to time to reflect changes in its operating practice, changes in law affecting the provision of its Services or for other good reasons.
Hungarian law shall apply to this contract and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hungarian Courts. In the event of a dispute arising under or in connection with this contract, the parties shall first attempt to resolve such dispute amicably through conciliation. If the parties are not able to resolve the dispute amicably within thirty days (30), starting from the date on which one party provided the other party with full written particulars of the nature of the dispute, then either party may seek the determination of the Hungarian Courts.
