Porcelain Fused to Metal Crowns
These crowns or rather bridge frameworks are made out of Not- noble metal which means nickel free metal alloy. The dentist makes a precision impression of the ground teeth which is poured out with plaster cast by the dental technician and like this a plaster model develops. Now the technician manufactures a precise metal framework on the stumps. Finally this metal framework is coated with tooth coloured porcelain and is burnt in layers that is of course adapted to the colour and form of the existing teeth. The chemical metal-oxide layer provides the stability between the metal and the porcelain.
